MEET DR. KASHAT

Dr. Austin A. Kashat is a family Optometrist and owner of                                                                                              Beck Eyecare, and provides primary care eye services                                                                                                    including vision exams, medical exams, glasses and                                                                                                        contacts, specialty contact lenses (for treatment of diseases                                                                                          such as dry eye syndrome, myopia control and keratoconus),                                                                                        pre- and post-operative surgical care, dry eye management,                                                                                        glaucoma management, diabetes management, and more.

 

He received his Bachelor's in Health Sciences from Oakland                                                                                          University, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Ferris                                                                                          State University's Michigan College of Optometry, one of the

top 3 Optometry schools in the country. He completed his                                                                                            rotations at private practices, an ophthalmology practice with

an in-house surgical suite, and the John Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Detroit. He gained extensive knowledge in specialty contact lens fitting, diabetes and glaucoma management, and pre- and post-operative surgical care.

 

His approach to eyecare is very simple - everything he does is for his patients. He treats everyone like family, and believes every patient should know as much about their eyes as he does. Nobody is just a number in our office. When you leave our office, you'll feel confident you got one of the most thorough exams you've had by a doctor you can trust. When not in the office, Dr. Kashat enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, playing golf, and watching movies.
