Eye Emergencies
When you have a sudden red eye, infection, vision loss, or just need some peace of mind, you want to be able to trust an eye professional rather than just the nearest urgent care.
Overview
There can be a very fine line between harmless and emergency when it comes to your eyes, and vision is not something to gamble with. You can feel comfortable knowing no matter how big or small the issue, we will be as thorough as needed to make sure your issue is taken care of.
When to Start
If you're noticing anything NEW and SUDDEN, it's a good idea to get it checked. This could be pain, vision loss, redness, or anything in between. With most eye problems, the longer you wait, the harder it is to treat.
What's Different
A scratch on your cornea can be thousandths of a millimeter big, and still big enough to do damage; just imagine what other problems your eye can have that are too tiny to see. Only eye doctors' offices have specialized microscopes to be able to see even the smallest abnormalities, down to the size of a blood cell - literally!
What We Look For
The testing we do depends on the signs and symptoms of the patient. Our red eye protocol is different from our flashes/floaters protocol. Regardless of what we look for, we do our best to get to the bottom of the problem so we can fix it as soon as possible, with minimal complications.
Availability
We make exceptions for emergency eye visits and can squeeze patients in before/during lunch or before closing. If the doctor's not physically available, we'll triage you and work with other providers in the area to get you seen.
