Dr. Austin A. Kashat is a family Optometrist and owner of Beck Eyecare, and provides primary care eye services including vision exams, medical exams, glasses and contacts, specialty contact lenses (for treatment of diseases such as dry eye syndrome, myopia control and keratoconus), pre- and post-operative surgical care, dry eye management, glaucoma management, diabetes management, and more. He received his Bachelor's in Health Sciences from Oakland University, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Ferris State University's Michigan College of Optometry, one of the top 3 Optometry schools in the country. He completed his rotations at private practices, an ophthalmology practice with an in-house surgical suite, and the John Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Detroit. He gained extensive knowledge in specialty contact lens fitting, diabetes and glaucoma management, and pre- and post-operative surgical care. When not in the office, Dr. Kashat enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing golf, and watching movies.
